The North Coast Resource Conservation & Development Council is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Santa Rosa, CA, and serving the north coast counties of Marin, Sonoma, Mendocino, and Lake. We have several conservation programs we implement to carry out our mission of supporting local sustainability, and the water conservation effort "Rain Cathers" is one of our programs. For more information about our organization as a whole, please visit www.ncrcanddc.org.
"Rain Catchers" is founded on a simple principle--rain that falls in the wet season on our rooftops can be collected and stored for use in the dry season. Our "Rain Catchers In Your School" program helps local schools develop a rooftop collection system, a nearby tank storage area, and finally an end-use of the water such as a school garden.
